Women:
If you stopped shaving your legs and underarms would it be a problem
for your husbands?

Women: Would you like for your husbands to shave their legs and underarms?

Men:
How would you feel about your wife if she should decide to stop shaving her legs and underarms?

Are there any men who shave their legs and underarms?

I am not sure about my husband. I dont think he would like it if I didnt shave my underarms but not sure about legs.

My husband did used to shave under his arms when we first married and also his chest(lol) but that stopped a while later. It dosnt really bother me although he is a hairy man, and so sometimes I think it would be nice if he shaved under his arms again. I definately wouldnt want him to shave his legs (or his chest again). I like them hairy.

I wouldn't mind if I stopped.
He says he wouldn't mind if I stop, but if I don't shave for a couple of days, he is "reluctant" to let me put my legs against his
I like him hairy.

WHAT!?!! There are guys that shave their legs????????

I lived in Europe for several years. Hairy women were nearly always accompanied by "hairy woman smell" Ha ha.....

I prefer my wife clean shaven but doubt I would mind that much if she went au naturale.

THe only part of me that gets shaved is my face.

It would be a problem if I started. He prefers that I mess with the way I'm made as little as possible. Nobody else knows because I don't show my legs or my underarms in public anyway. And I don't stink.

BamaJAF, I did notice a lot more smells when I was in Europe, but I don't think it's as much about hair as it is about bathing habits. When I went over as a highschooler, most of the girls in our American group showered once or twice a day. Our German hosts found that odd.

Ew. Nope.

When we married my husband didn't really mind if I didn't shave.

Now we've been married a while and he mildly prefers that I shave. Since that's what I do generally (with occasional bucks against the establishment) I think the preference is what he generally sees.

I'm not too interested in him shaving. He looks good in a beard too. I do like the occasional face shave. The texture change is interesting.

I don't have a huge amount of body hair, I only have to shave my legs about once every 3 or so weeks. I do shave under my arms every 2-3 days. I think it would bother DH if I quit.

I would find it odd if DH shaved his body hair.

A lot of swimmers and runners do this to cut the water/wind resistance to cut their time. I am not sure if guys with are not athletic do it just for hygene like women do.

I'm an infrequent shaver, and my husband doesn't mind in the slightest... though when I do shave, it's a nice thing.

DH notices if my under arms aren't shaved, I think it grosses him out. He rarely notices if I don't shave my legs, but he always notices when I have... My shaving habits have a lot more to do with my own preference then his, since it's not an area in which he usually voices an opinion.

As for his body hair... I prefer a clean shaven face and body hair everywhere else. A shaven chest is hard to snuggle, it gets pric*ly.

I doubt my husband notices either way, and he has a beard, so things are pretty casual around here...

I shave, he doesn't (except his face). I doubt that will change, though if it did, I am not sure it would cause much uproar.

But, since it isn't going to change, I won't speculate

not a problem for him....it has happened periodically due to health issues that made it difficult for me to function...course I only went about a week or two without shaving.....but based on what I've asked him...He would still love me and find me attractive..but does prefer that they be shaved.

umm..NO. I actually like his hairy legs. They keep my icy feet nice and warm. As to underarms...I wouldn't want him to have to go through that.....it's just hair.

my husband is much like Ryanne's. Doesn't much care if I don't, but likes it when I do. I go weeks/a month without shaving anything. He doesn't care. I shave once in awhile just for the heck of it really.

My husband is HAIRY. Think Sonny from 'The Godfather' hairy. Robin Williams hairy. I LOVE IT. It's so manly, rugged. Sexy!!
He shaved his chest once as a goof and it was so weird...
He does keep his face and head clean shaven (he's military). I find the bald head incredibly hot.

Hubby has had me wax his back on occasion but other than that he doesn't shave anything except for his face...he does have a goatee though so isn't clean shaven.

I once dated a guy who shaved his legs for better sports performance. It was a little strange. Lol, sometimes his legs were smoother than mine!

I shave my legs and underarms and couldn't imagine not doing so. During the winter I'll go longer in between shaves but anytime hubby is going to be seeing my legs or underarms I make sure I'm shaved. I think it'd gross him out if I stopped shaving and got hairy in those places.

ETA: My husband did shave his chest once or twice while we were in college and it was so ****ly. I'm glad he doesn't shave there anymore.

My hubby doesnt care where or how I shave, but he does think underarm hair is kinda gross, but it would never put a damper on intimacy. He doesnt ever notice about shaving my legs, but I have very little leg hair anyway.

As far as he goes, I like a clean shaven face, just more comfy to me, DH has a goatee which I am fine with. But if he gets scraggly on the weekends it doest bother me. As far as everywhere else...I like him hairy, hairy legs and chest dont bother me one bit!

H only shaves his face. That's fine with me. He prefers the smoother legs, but I don't think it would be a huge deal to him either way. I remember early in our marriage he played the part of Joseph of Aramathia in a church musical, so he grew a beard. That first shave after the beard, his face was so soft! He's one of those "manly" men that HAS to shave his face every day

I do not think my husband would make a big deal out of it if I didn't shave. In fact during the winter I do not shave my legs as it helps keep me warm. Once spring/summer sets in I shave.

He is not hairy in general, but has a shaven cute face

My dh says that he doesn't mind if I don't shave... (actually I have an epilator which is just scary to him...)

When my dh is running/biking, he likes to shave his legs, and he likes that it shows off his buff legs (very cute muscles in those legs ). Besides, it looks very strange to have bike shorts with hairy legs, or so he says. But, he.is.not.going to use my epilator.

I'm a woman and I do shave both underarms and legs. I do it for me as my husband would not mind either way.

My husband shaves his legs in the summer time during the biking season. I still remember when we had some people over after church and a friend's granddaughter (about 14 years old) looked at my husband in his shorts and said, "Do YOU shave your legs?!?" She'd never seen it before. Gave me a chuckle.

I used to rarely shave my legs in the winter. With wearing pants all the time, who would notice? Dh didn't care. Now that I swim several times a week, I do keep them shaved year 'round!

Dh actually had a full beard when we met. He shaved shortly after and hasn't had a beard since. Nothing else gets shaved/waxed, and I'm good with that.

A good number of triathletes shave. Actually, I think body markers prefer guys to shave! (triathletes get their race number, age, and race written on arms and calves) Mixed reasons why guys do it--some claim it reduces drag. Others say it's easier to clean "road rash".

If I stopped shaving legs & pits, my DH wouldn't like it. I wouldn't like it, either.

If my DH started shaving his body, I wouldn't like it. He is not overly hairy and I like what he does have.

My DH does shave his face, even on Saturdays, because he knows I prefer it (mainly so it won't scratch and burn my skin when we get close).

I asked my DH if he would mind if I quit shaving, and his response was, "um....YEAH!" Nuff said!

I asked my wonderful DH on the phone tonight, "Dear, would you mind if I quit shaving?" There was a pause ... and then he asked, "Shaving the cats?"

(grin)

(After I clarified the question, his only response: "This is one of those weird Crosswalk questions again, isn't it?")
