Father I pray for the mother and grandfather of this child and anyone else who is close and suffering from his absence. Please make it possible for him to be returned to his family. Please speak to his father's heart and let him understand he is hurting his own child by doing this. Protect this child and make him remember the Christian teaching from his grandfather.

Thank You Father for the comfort You have given walkin2e and his daughter by being able to talk to young Josh.
Please keep the lines of communation open and help Josh to reminber what his grandpa has taught him.
Comfort Josh as well as the family Father. Please bring this boy home.
And Father work in this dad's heart. Let him know that he hasn't gone so far that he can't turn it around, and help him to draw close to You.

Lord let the communication continue. Work on the heart of the father so he will understand that others love this child as well.

Yesterday was Josh's 6th birthday. I called him and got him on the second try. He sounded pretty good, and we talked for several minutes (He also got to talk with his Aunt Eva and 3 year old cousin Ely, and friend Nancy who were at my house). His Mom also talked to him.
As one of his birthday presents I sent him a small musical box that plays "Amazing Grace". I had it here when he came to my house, and he would love to wind it up and hear the soft music. Yesterday, he said "Papa, hold on a minute, and then played me the "Amazing Grace" music box. He said, "That's Amazing Grace playing"..His Dad and Grandma were listening in the background (I believe they had me on speaker phone).

Father it is one of those times when I don't know how to approach this in prayer. I know the agony of having this child ripped away has to be horrible for those left behind. I only thank you Father that Josh seems to be doing well and is happy. I thank you that his father has not cut off communication and pray that he never will. I thank you that he was able to receive this gift for his birthday and pray that this song will remain in his heart and mind all his life. Lord I ask that the father will see Josh needs his entire family. In Jesus name I pray.

Father in Heaven, I remember Bro. Irvin and his family in my prayers tonight. I am hopeful that Josh's father has allowed the lines of communication to remain open. I still pray that You will cause this man's heart to be moved and his eyes to be open, allowing Josh to come home to his mother. I pray that very soon we will be hearing great news proclaiming that Josh is on his way back home. Please, Lord, hear this prayer tonight. Trusting in You completely as we wait.
