Hubby and I have separate email accounts, facebook, myspace accounts but we both know each others passwords. We do have one email account we share but that email is for bills.

We have separate accounts, and a family joint account which I check and the kids are able to use. The Family acct is mostly family updates, we keep an outlook calendar there, etc.
DH and I are individuals, and we have our own friends lots of times. It's healthy to be able to "talk" via email with a girlfriend when I need to share something that may or may not have anything to do with DH. We dont' typically keep secrets from each other, but sometimes we like to process through things before talking about them together. I don't see anything wrong with that, provided the outside counsel comes from Godly influence.
FB is the same - separate accounts, but we do keep an Excel spread sheet (under pw) that we can access that has ALL of our passwords programmed into it.

We both have separate. We both have multiple. He knows my most used passwords (all the email ones). I know his password philosophy so I can generally figure it out.
He gets literally hundreds of email a day and leaves thousands in his mailbox. It would drive me crazy to share with him. And Google Crome is set up so I can go into his Gmail or Facebook anytime I want and Firefox is set up so he can get into my stuff any time.

We've talked about getting a joint email account for convenience; we find people often send an email to one of us and expect us both to have read it or be aware of it. I figured they think we communicate via Vulcan mind-meld, but now I guess they must just have access to each others' accounts and assume we do too!
We both have one email for work and multiple freebies for different purposes. Eg we've been married 4 yrs and I still haven't gotten around to telling everybody to use my married-name email address. It's never even occurred to me to share passwords. For our spam/newsletter emails I don't think we even know each other's usernames.

If you wanted to share an account, you can have multiple addresses on yahoo for the same account. You could add an address with your name to his account.

we have way too many email accounts between the two of us, we know the passwords for some and not for others. We also have a somewhat joint email account that he uses most of the time.
When people want to contact the both of us they usually email me because I'm the one that reads my email everyday and replies right away

We have our own separate email accounts for work and personal use and we do not know each others' passwords. He doesn't make regular use of his personal account. I check mine every few days and mainly use it to send myself links. Still, if my friends or sister or mom ever contacted me about a sensitive or personal matter, I'd like to think they have my confidence.
