I can almost hear the crickets chirping in here! I think this is the quietest it's ever been! I'm brewing up a pot of coffee. Anyone wanna join me? I might even bake some brownies! Ds1 joined me for a long run this morning. Mid 40's and rain, so not the best weather! He had a very good run. Towards the end, I faded so I told him to go ahead. He finished so strong! We did a little over 12miles. He's now convinced he can do the half marathon (13.1miles). Heck--I could have told him that two weeks ago when we did 10miles! I'm almost dreading going to church tomorrow. Monday I was supposed to get together with my friend but wasn't able to. I haven't heard from her all week...

Things are almost always worse than we think in this types of situations. Also it could be that she is unsure of whether you like her or something like that. It could be that she need reassurance.

Howdy People, Well my daughter and I made it through the morning! She took the College Board SAT test today. I was so nervous for her. I remember when my son took it, I was a basket case. My husband took him and waited for him in the car the whole time and I called him every half hour. This time he took our dd, took a little nap in the car and then my son and I came to the school and hubby went home for another nap. I had asked my son to go with me. We walked some and had a really great talk. It was a beautiful day for a change. Son said that it was the kind of day we are supposed to have in winter, sun shining but chrisp air and a nice breeze. We are not exactly the drop off kind of parents. Poor dd, on the way in they parked beside a proctor who asked her if she was there for the 7th grade stuff. No she said she was a senior (she's 18). Happens to both my kids all the time. His, when did your interest in running begin? hsmom2 (Deb)

Ds1 HAS to take both courses Spring quarter. He's not taking any classes over the summer since he has the 3-week bicycle tour. We were able to schedule both classes, but NOT at desirable times. One is 10-12 M/W, which works. The other is 2:30-5 T/R. I work on the ohter side of town at 2 on THursdays... I might see if I can change my work schedule. I hate to do that as residents have come to expect me Thursday afternoons. And the head banging with ds2 in public school continues... There's a book that is required reading. THe school book store has sold out. I checked Borders, they had it so I put it on reserve and quickly got a conformation notice. We went later and found they've been sold out for weeks and ti's on backorder. We went to B&N and they, too have it on backorder. NOONE in town has the book. Both stores have checked around town because alllllllll students taking BioI in this district need the book. If the stores can't get it, we can't get it online either. Of course, students are losing points every day they dont' have the book..........

Ds2 was able to get it from an upper classmate. This is hooey! Currently they are studying evolution. He believes in micro-evolution, not macro. He asked a question about a point and the teacher totally talked down to him. How could he ever be so stupid to believe what he does? Hoh boy.... I am so tired! Noone slept last night. Ds2 was up until about 1am. Dh was up a couple times during the night. I didn't ahve to get up this morning but I set my alarm for 6am, just to be sure that ds2 got up. Good thing--he overslept! Then I couldn't get back to sleep.

The time change is hard for a lot of people. Our family all seems to be struggling with it. The problem is that it is so much darker in the morning that it doesn't feel like time to get up. I have overslept both Monday and Tuesday. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Do you think that could be part of the problem, His?

I have tried to post all weekend and for some reason I couldn't. His, I hope you were able to connect with your friend. Persistence pays off. It took Melissa and I six months to finally get our schedules to coordinate enough to meet each other in person. She was not in a good place emotionally or physically, and I honestly don't know if we would have gotten together if I'd left it up to her. I'm stubborn, though, (I bet you guys never would have guessed that! ) and it's quite possible that she finally agreed to come over just to shut me up! The rest, as they say, is history . . . I can't imagine life without her, and we both would have missed out on some incredible blessings. Jesse is undergoing his twice a year round of checkups and tests . . . we saw the eye doctor today, who thankfully found no problems. Immunology tomorrow . . . I'm not expecting any problems there either. God has faithfully protected him from any of the serious consequences of this immune deficiency, and we're grateful. Ashley's horse let himself out of the barn today. He spent just enough time wandering around the back yard to put a few dozen ankle twisting holes in it . . . it's so wet and muddy that he just tore it up. There are a few skid marks, though - he clearly still remembers his impressive sliding stop. I need more sheep . . . any of you have any for sale?
